VFW Post 5154 Americanism Committee consist of the Junior Vice Commander and a minimum of 3 good standing members appointed by the Post Commander.  The committee shall be responsible for promoting the Voice of Democracy, Patriots Pen, Teacher of the Year, First Responders/Public Servants, Scout of the Year, and Junior ROTC programs.  Additionally, the committee shall proceed with contact for program as soon as new information is available, and no later than the end of August. Furthermore, this committee shall suggest and arrange the presentation of awards and/or citations, and publicity (newspaper article, T.V. News report).

   The committee shall hold at least one regular monthly meeting, set upon the call of the Junior Vice Commander.  The Post Commander and/or Junior Vice Commander may call a special meeting as deemed necessary and the Post members shall be advised of the date and time of any special meetings called.
